Position Overview:
Kansas City Kansas Public Schools is seeking a qualified and compassionate School Social Worker to serve an itinerant role for the 20252026 school year. The Social Worker will support Middle and High School students across 1 to 5 school sites, depending on district needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students

Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student academic success

Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community agencies

Participate in IEP and student support team meetings as needed

Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
Caseload:

Approximately 1015 students

Middle and High School levels

Itinerant position with travel between multiple schools
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution

Current Kansas School Social Work license or eligibility to obtain

Experience working with adolescent populations preferred
